JOB DETAILS:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf Wilson Uganda Limited, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to work in Uganda.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Driving to the job sites where equipment is deployed
• Inspection of the equipment for any defects and solving/ repairing them.
• Repairing damaged equipment parts.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty equipment
• Performing major repair work, when necessary, especially engine, transmission and undercarriage system.
• Reporting defects on equipment and suggesting best solutions to solve defects.
• Preparing Reports on repairs conducted and service history
NB: Equipment include;
• Graders, Excavators, Rollers, Bulldozer and other small vehicles
Mandatory Requirements:
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution.
• Valid driving permit.
• Proven minimum work experience of 5 years as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic, especially earth moving equipment.
Added advantage:
• Experience or skill in repairing light vehicles is an added advantage
• Computer skills in Microsoft word and Excel
Competencies:
• Ability to lift heavy machinery.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
• Ability to work after-hours if required.
• Good communication skills
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 60
Level of Education: Associate Degree
