This role bridges business development and operational delivery: identifying tender opportunities, assisting in proposal writing, coordinating PPE logistics, supporting consultancy fieldwork, and maintaining client relationships for safety products and services. Key Responsibilities - Identify and track relevant PPE, safety equipment, and HSE consultancy tenders in public and private sectors (especially extractive industries).
- Assist in proposal/bid writing, including technical responses, pricing schedules, and capability statements.
- Conduct market research on competitor pricing, emerging safety products and client needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with client procurement and HSE teams to identify upsell opportunities.
- Assist in procurement, inventory management, storage, and distribution of PPE and safety equipment.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and clients (under managerâs guidance).
- Ensure PPE stock aligns with forecasted tender wins and repeat corporate orders.
- Coordinate timely delivery of PPE to client sites and manage proof-of-delivery documentation.
- Schedule and support OHS consultancy by preparing client documentation and field logistics.
- Assist in conducting safety training for staff and clients
- Maintain training records, issue certificates, and track training revenue per client contract.
- Conduct routine workplace inspections (internal and at client sites) to identify hazards and support consultancy recommendations.
- Maintain HSE records, incident reports, and safety documentation for client audits.
- Support the Manager in client HSE compliance activities (e.g., pre-qualification questionnaires, safety files for tenders).
Qualifications & Experience Minimum: - Bachelorâs degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 yearsâ experience in HSE service provision, including direct experience in:
- Safety wear / PPE sales or procurement,
- Proposal / bid writing for HSE-related contracts,
- Supporting OHS training or consultancy.
- Good understanding of local OHS regulations and extractive industry safety standard
Added advantage: - NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 45001 and/or ISO 9001.
