JOB DETAILS: POSITION: HEALTH CENTRE MANAGER WORK STATION: AAR HEALTHCARE CLINIC NETWORK REPORTS TO: SENIOR HEALTH CENTRE MANAGER DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: HEALTH CENTRE STAFF. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: • Strategic direction for Health Centre operations in line with corporate and clinical operation’s strategies. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: • Clinical risk management • Health Centre Leadership for allocated clinics. • Cost management • Clinic Human Resource Management • Corporate image and customer retention • Quality of service and customer satisfaction • Service delivery processes • Claims management • Revenue generation • Profitability. • Budgeting. • Department Rota and staff scheduling. • Reporting: Ensure that financial and clinical reporting is done in a timely and accurate manner. DUTIES INCLUDE: • Ensure Consistent, high quality out patient service delivery in the Health Centre. • Management of risk Ensure compliance with treatment protocols and drug formularies and other SOPs. • Lead and develop staff capable of delivering on the mandate of the Health Centre. • Ensure resources are effectively and efficiently utilized to deliver desired results. • Ensure development and implementation of annual operating plans and budgets for the health Centre. • Manage Health Centre performance and budgeting. • Ensure that the clinic is operated in accordance to standards set by the relevant Medical/government institutions. • Manage clinic finances and ensure that all claims and supporting schedules are accurate and submitted in a timely manner. • Data integrity: Ensure that all clinic staff handle clinic and business matter with utmost confidentiality and Integrity. • Ensure delivery of appropriate, consistently high-quality, cost-effective preventive and curative clinical services to all AAR members, Direct Billing clients and walk in clients. • Lead, direct, develop and manage all aspect of Health Centre operations. • Safe-guard corporate interests in the process of providing Health Centre services. • Develop a deep understanding of the needs, opportunities and challenges of the individual clinics and articulate the same with the view of finding creative solutions. • You will also carry out any other duties that may be assigned to you. KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES: • Profitability of Health Centre. • Lab and pharmacy utilization. • Development of specialized clinics. • Quality of service. • Customer satisfaction rating. • Leadership for the Health Centre. • Management of operating costs and wastage. • Budget Revenue. • Individual Health Centre performance. LEVEL OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: (This position requires) • Degree in Medicine or Diploma in Clinical Medicine with relevant clinical experiences in managing a Health Centre. • A Master’s Degree with relevant experiences managing comparable units in non-government organizations is an added advantage. OTHER COMPETENCIES: • Possess a high-level business acumen. • Proven leadership skills, good inter-personal skills, and ability to build personal relationships with other members of staff, to enhance corporate performance • Highly action oriented. • Have distinguished level of maturity. • A proven track record in delivering results; • Possess good analytical skills. • Possess strong communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and administrative skills. • Have distinguished level of maturity and excellence in multi-disciplinary health care management. POSITION RELATIONSHIPS: • The AAR HC Uganda Senior Management Team. • Health Centre Managers. • AAR employees especially those at allocated clinics. • Clients, service providers and other stakeholders • Local Health institutions in the Communities • Government/Regulatory Authorities Work Hours: 8 Experience in Months: 12 Level of Education: Associate Degree
