We are scaling up in Uganda and beginning pilots in new geographies, providing an affordable and environmentally responsible mobility solution. About the Role The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building brand equity for Zembo in Uganda and across the East African region. This role leads both strategic and operational aspects of sales and marketing, overseeing customer acquisition, retention, distribution partnerships, rider financing, and brand positioning. Qualifications and Experience - Bachelorâs degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (Masterâs preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, including 2+ years in a senior leadership role
- Demonstrated experience using social media business advertising platforms to manage ad campaigns and lead generation
- Good Knowledge of campaign building, AB testing for the different campaigns, and utilizing them for the sales lead generation process.
- Strong Knowledge of lead conversion, customer retention, and the lead generation cycle.
- Experience in automotive, motorcycle, mobility, or energy sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of go-to-market models, channel sales, and customer acquisition in emerging markets.
- Demonstrated success in scaling commercial operations in a growth-stage company.
- Demonstrated mastery of marketing content development and digital sales tools meeting global brand standards
