The successful candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding the firmâs reputation, strengthening its System of Quality Management (ISQM), embedding a strong risk and compliance culture, and ensuring adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements. Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will: - Lead the firmâs Enterprise Risk Management framework and oversee the identification, assessment and mitigation of strategic, operational and regulatory risks.
- Coordinate the implementation and continuous improvement of the firmâs System of Quality Management (ISQM).
- Drive compliance with applicable laws, regulations, professional standards and Grant Thornton International standards.
- Provide oversight of ethics, independence, client acceptance and engagement risk management processes.
- Strengthen governance frameworks, internal controls and policy compliance across the firm.
- Lead investigations into ethics, compliance and misconduct matters where required
- Oversee business continuity, resilience and incident management programmes.
- Promote a culture of quality, integrity, accountability and continuous improvement through training and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications and Experience Applicants should possess: - A Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management or a related discipline.
- A recognised professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIA or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of eight (8) yearsâ relevant experience in risk management, governance, quality management, compliance, internal audit or regulatory affairs, with at least three (3) years in a management role.
- Experience in a professional services firm or another highly regulated environment will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong knowledge of ISQM 1 & ISQM 2, International Standards on Auditing (ISA), the IESBA Code of Ethics, AML/CFT requirements, corporate governance and enterprise risk management frameworks.
