Job Summary:  We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Information Technology Department as the Head of IT. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the academic direction of our IT program, drive curriculum development, and lead initiatives that integrate technology seamlessly into our educational offerings. The successful candidate will possess experience in academia, coupled with knowledge in networking and cybersecurity and a passion for innovation in higher education.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Information Technology Department’s academic programs in line with the university’s vision and mission.
• Develop and teach undergraduate programs offered by the department.
• Foster a culture of excellence in teaching and learning, promoting student engagement, active learning methodologies, and the use of technology-enhanced pedagogies.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to cyber security, data protection, and regulatory
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their technology needs and provide appropriate support and solutions.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent) in Informational Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Born-Again Christian.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience i IT Education, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proficiency in networking and cyber security practices, risk management and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA are highly desirable.
