- Develop and implement business plans, goals, and budgets for IT functions aligned with corporate objectives and operational priorities.
- Establish and maintain quality service standards for responding to internal and external client inquiries, requests, and issues.
- Monitor performance against IT service standards and take corrective action where necessary.
- Evaluate, monitor, and control departmental and staff performance against agreed standards.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and statutory regulations across head office and all branches.
- Support branches and departments in resolving IT-related issues.
- Participate in internal Board and Management Committees as assigned.
- Set overall IT objectives, monitor performance, and address deviations from the strategic plan.
- Conduct client, supplier, and staff satisfaction surveys and implement improvements.
- Ensure high-quality IT service delivery to all internal clients.
- IT Compliance to Internal Control and Regulatory Policies
- Oversee documentation and implementation of up-to-date IT principles.
- Ensure compliance with banking and finance legislation, regulations, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with the Head of Finance and Head of Internal Audit to ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations.
- IT Disaster Recovery and Security
- Develop, test, and maintain IT Disaster Recovery Plans.
- Establish and enforce IT security and housekeeping policies and procedures.
- Monitor and document security measures for applications and systems.
- Vendor and Contracts Management
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts for IT services and equipment.
- Maintain contracts for computers, auxiliary equipment, and software documentation.
- Oversee delivery, installation, testing, and implementation of new systems and upgrades.
- Manage procurement terms for hardware, software, telecommunications, and power solutions.
- IT Systems and Services Administration
- Identify IT requirements and ensure adequate resourcing and budgeting.
- Manage IT expenditure to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Act as a consultant to management on IT systems, improvements, and innovations.
- Provide user support including:
- System performance monitoring and optimization
- User training
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Liaising with vendors for complex technical problems
- Human Resources Management â IT
- Manage day-to-day IT operations and resolve conflicts.
- Conduct performance appraisals and ensure staff are evaluated using SMART objectives.
- Recruit and maintain a competent IT team.
- Train, mentor, and develop staff to maintain high morale and productivity.
- Establish clear organizational structures, roles, and responsibilities.
- Monitor and control staff performance.
- Promote teamwork and sharing of best practices.
- Hold regular planning and progress meetings.
- Provide guidance and support to direct reports.
