Job Description

Oversee end to end depot operations at the Gulu outlet, managing inventory receiving, local distributor dispatch, and daily cash banking.

Maintain strict operational discipline, stock integrity, and service standards while coordinating day to day retail and depot workflows.

Lead the outlet team to meet commercial targets safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company policies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage daily depot operations, receiving incoming stock, verifying quantities, and staging goods securely for dispatch.
• Coordinate dispatch processes to local distributors ensuring timely fulfillment, accurate documentation, and preservation of product quality.
• Execute daily cash collections, accurate reconciliations, and prompt banking routines within established authorization limits.
• Supervise outlet staff by allocating tasks, monitoring performance, and maintaining work coverage without compromising safety or operating procedures.
• Perform routine stock reconciliations between physical inventory and system records, investigating and reporting variances immediately.
• Enforce occupational safety, food hygiene, facility security, and cleaning standards across all depot handling and storage areas.
• Resolve operational stoppages, distributor complaints, and stock discrepancies promptly, escalating major risks to management when necessary.
• Maintain legible, traceable, and up to date records, including stock logs, incident reports, shift handovers, and cash banking slips.

Education Qualifications & Experience

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Commerce, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Procurement and Logistics, Management, or a closely related discipline.
• Ordinary Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Commerce, Logistics, or a related operational field.
• Relevant UBTEB, TVET, professional supervisory, safety, or equivalent accredited certifications.

Experience

3+ years of experience managing regional distribution depots.
