The trainee will gain practical exposure to information security best practices, tools, and frameworks under supervision. Impact The trainee contributes to a secure ICT environment by helping to detect vulnerabilities, analyze risks, and support cyber protection strategiesâthus strengthening the organizationâs digital resilience and service continuity. Key Result Areas - Assist in implementing security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Help monitor systems for threats, anomalies, or breaches using security tools.
- Support incident handling processes, including logging, escalation, and resolution tracking.
- Assist in periodic risk assessments and basic vulnerability scans under guidance.
- Help prepare awareness content and conduct user training sessions on cyber hygiene.
- Maintain security logs, assist in generating audit reports and status updates.
- Work with IT and compliance teams to support internal audits and external reviews.
Expected Outputs - Accurate security logs and incident tracking
- Assistance with security audits and reviews
- User support during awareness campaigns and phishing simulations
- Well-documented security risks and mitigation suggestions

Person Specifications Academic Qualifications - Bachelorâs degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Graduated within the last three (3) years
Experience - No formal work experience required
Competencies - Basic understanding of information security concepts and risks
- Familiarity with common security tools (e.g., antivirus, firewalls, SIEM, etc.)
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and evolving threat landscapes
- High level of integrity and attention to confidentiality
- Strong teamwork, communication, and reporting skills
- Adaptability and eagerness to grow in a dynamic ICT security environment
