This role is designed for recent graduates seeking structured training, practical exposure, and professional development within estate or facilities management. Responsibilities - Assist in routine inspection and maintenance of buildings, utilities, grounds, and infrastructure.
- Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Help monitor contractors and service providers to ensure work is completed safely and to standard.
- Assist with basic repairs, fault reporting, and maintenance documentation.
- Support health, safety, and environmental compliance across the estate.
- Participate in asset management, record-keeping, and maintenance reporting.
- Assist in coordinating maintenance schedules and responding to maintenance requests.
- Support sustainability, energy efficiency, and cost-control initiatives.
- Attend training sessions, site meetings, and professional development activities.
- Drive your own personal development plan to increase job effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience - Bachelorâs degree in an Engineering field.
- Structured on-the-job training under experienced estate or facilities professionals.
- Exposure to building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, and general maintenance).
- Development of technical, operational, and administrative skills.
- Opportunities to progress into permanent Estate Maintenance or Facilities roles upon successful completion.
Person Specification Essential - Recent graduate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in estate maintenance and facilities operations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable - Internship or placement experience in maintenance
- Must be well-versed in installation practices and requirements for high-rise buildings.
- Basic technical knowledge of building services or maintenance systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or maintenance management systems
