Program Overview
The African Builders Program allows you to prepare for careers in Finance and Management Control, at the heart of our road, hydraulic and Civil Engineering projects, across the African continent. Hired on a permanent contract, you will experience several roles within the Finance function. Joining the program means embarking on an immersive experience that accelerates your career. For three years, you'll explore diverse professional fields through varied assignments and geographical mobility. You'll gain a 360° view of the Group's various roles and develop a strong network. A rich, dynamic, and international adventure, designed to unlock your potential and shape you into a future leader.
Program Structure
Over 3 years, you will develop skills in several professions, during several assignments in Africa:
- Year 1: Introduction to the fields of accounts receivable and accounts payable, treasury, taxation, management control, and human resources / Country 1
- Year 2: Site management controller / Country 2
- Year 3: Advanced training / Country 3
The African Builders Program is a step-by-step structured program. A dedicated and comprehensive training program. Our Regional Directors will be your sponsors and will support you at every stage of your journey. Your mentors will ensure your integration and skills development within the agency or in the field.
Missions
At the end of your three years in the Graduate Program Finance, you will have developed the necessary skills to manage the administrative, accounting and financial aspects of a large-scale project or to join the administrative and financial department of an agency. As a trusted partner of site managers, you will act autonomously and ensure the application of Sogea-Satom standards in terms of safety, financial performance and contractual compliance.
Qualifications and Requirements
You will graduate with a Master's degree (business school or university) in management in 2026 and are looking for your first permanent position. Ideally, you have some initial experience (internship and/or apprenticeship) in a consulting firm or company within the construction sector. This offer is only available to recent graduates. Joining the African Builders Program requires:
- Mandatory full geographical mobility at the end of each period on the African continent.
- Strong adaptability: in 3 years, you will have 3 different geographical assignments and several job roles, meaning you will need to learn about a variety of different contexts and teams.
- Proactive approach.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. You will be in daily contact with the site and agency teams, your Agency Manager, the client, headquarters, other graduates, etc.
- A passion for teamwork: this is essential; you will never work alone.
