Job Summary: Â Â The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Officer will provide support in the implementation of GBV prevention and response by collecting, entering, analyzing data and managing the project database. He / She will support all efforts for promoting a high level of beneficiary accountability including managing the feedback mechanism channels and support all efforts to ensure learning and accountability systems are working effectively.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor implementation progress of project activities against objectives and work plans.
- Conduct field monitoring visits and carry out discussions with beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries to receive feedback on project activities.
- Take lead in conducting project assessments and facilitation of focus group discussions.
- Develop relevant tools and frameworks & train project staff in the effective use of MEAL concepts.
- Compile timely project data reports to inform evidence – based decision making at program levels and for use in preparation of project reports to Donors, Districts and other partners as may be necessary.
- Conduct research and analyze data to identify risk factors and trends related to GBV data collection exercises.
- Lead the review, learning and reflection meetings on projects implementation and evaluations.
- Clean and validate project data before reporting and generate project databases.
- Document best practices, lessons learned and success stories about AWYAD programs and project interventions in the different regions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a University degree in Quantitative Economics, Statistics, Gender studies or related fields.
- A Post Graduate Diploma in Monitoring & Evaluation.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ MEAL working experience.
- Fluency in English is a MUST
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, Word, Excel, Power Point, Spread sheets and other Statistical software e.g. SPSS.
