It is comprised of a portfolio of innovative healthcare ventures including: health call centers, mobile clinical services, health content development, and healthcare enterprise software solutions.
Job Summary: The Junior Software Developer and Network Administrator will assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure and also
work with internal software developers to maintain the internal system used at
Rocket Health.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in network documentation and inventory management
- Configure and install network devices and equipment.
- Maintaining existing software and hardware and upgrading any that have become obsolete
- Provide technical support to internal staff.
- Monitoring network infrastructure and systems to identify how performance can be improved
- Working with internal system developers to maintain the existing systems
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP/Laravel, Python, Perl, or PowerShell, with experience in automation and scripting.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or PRTG.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with cloud platforms, i.e. AWS and virtualization technology is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Certification in networking (e.g. CCNA) and/or development (e.g., AWS Certified Developer) is desirable but not required.
