Job Summary: The ICT Support Officer will provide user support on company supported computer applications and platforms, troubleshoot problems and advise on appropriate action.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and update software applications used in the banking environment.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement system upgrades and improvements.
- Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems by implementing and enforcing best practices.
- Assist in the management of user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Respond to IT support tickets and service requests in a timely and customer- focused manner.
- Conduct end-user training sessions on IT-related topics.
- Document and maintain accurate records of IT issues and solutions.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in IT support in the banking sector.
- Experience with desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and software Installations.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
- Familiarity with banking software and systems.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and data protection.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
