Job Summary: Â Responsible for various HR functions including recruitment, training, performance management, employee relations, payroll management and reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual with strong communication and organizational skills to ensure the smooth operation of HR activities and support the HR department strategic objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Coordinate the entire recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Conduct reference checks and background verification.
- Manage onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as necessary.
Performance Management:
- Implement and manage the performance appraisal process.
- Work with managers to set performance standards and goals.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance improvement plans.
Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive work environment through effective employee relations practices.
- Address employee grievances and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
- Promote employee engagement and well-being through various initiatives.
Disciplinary Actions:
- Investigate incidents of employee misconduct and gather relevant information.
- Coordinate disciplinary meetings and ensure that actions are in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Document disciplinary actions and maintain accurate records.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on handling disciplinary issues.
Payroll Management:
- Process payroll accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other payroll-related legislation.
Reporting:
- Prepare regular HR reports on key metrics such as recruitment, turnover, training, and performance management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, social sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Executive/Officer or similar role.
- Minimum experience of 2 to 3 years.
- In-depth knowledge of HR practices and labour laws.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
