Betika is an online gaming firm based in Nairobi, Kenya with operations in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, DRC, Ghana, Nigeria, Mozambique, Zambia and Malawi. Betika has a number of products including Sportsbook Betting, Casino, Virtual Games and E-Sports Betting.
Job Summary:   The Digital Marketing Assistant will support the day-to-day execution of digital marketing activities to enhance Betika Uganda’s online presence, engage customers, and drive brand awareness. This role involves assisting in content creation, social media management, campaign execution, and performance tracking.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Social Media Management
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and publishing engaging content across Betika Uganda’s social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok).
- Monitor social media trends, respond to comments and messages, and engage with the online community.
- Work with the team to develop creative and interactive campaigns that drive customer engagement.
Content Creation & Execution
- Assist in developing digital content, including graphics, short videos, banners, and blog posts.
- Collaborate with designers, influencers, and content creators to enhance brand communication.
- Ensure all content aligns with Betika Uganda’s brand voice and unique selling points (USPs).
Digital Campaign Support
- Assist in executing digital marketing campaigns, including paid social media ads, influencer collaborations, and email marketing.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance metrics such as engagement rates, reach, and conversions.
- Coordinate with external agencies and partners as needed.
Customer Engagement & Support
- Track customer inquiries, comments, and complaints on digital platforms in collaboration with the customer support team.
- Identify common customer concerns and report insights to improve communication and product marketing.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Assist in collecting and analyzing data from social media, website traffic, and digital ad campaigns.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on key performance indicators (KP|s).
- Provide insights on areas for improvement based on data analytics.
Competitor & Market Research
- Monitor competitors’ digital marketing strategies and industry trends to identify opportunities for Betika Uganda.
- Suggest improvements and new ideas based on market research.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or content creation.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, WhatsApp) and digital tools. Familiarity with online advertising (Meta Ads, Google Ads) is an added advantage. – Strong writing skills with an understanding of engaging social media content.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide insights.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Interest in sports betting, gaming, or sports is an added advantage.
