Purpose of the job
To support quality teaching and community engagement to promote, Food Science & Technology.
Qualifications
- MSc. in Food Science or Food Technology or Food Biotechnology or Food Engineering or Food Safety or Food Microbiology from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor of Science in Food Science or Food Technology or Food Processing Technology from a recognized institution.
Experience
Two (2) years teaching experience in an Institution of Higher Learning.

- Digital Literacy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Highly adaptable and resilient.
- Teamwork and collaboration ethos.
- Conflict prevention and resolution traits.

- Assist in preparation of Lecture material and conduct lectures to undergraduate students.
- Assist in setting tests, examinations and coursework.
- Assist in marking tests and examinations scripts and compiling examinations results.
- Assist in administering and invigilating tests, examinations and coursework.
- Assist in supervising undergraduate undertaking research projects.
- Assist in supervising student projects under guidance and supervision of a Lecturer.
- Carry out official administrative duties that may be assigned by the Head of Department.
- Contribute to the University and wider society through community service.
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
