The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective food safety and hygiene systems to ensure that all food products and operations meet the required quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and monitor food safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP principles, food hygiene standards, and relevant food safety regulations.
- Conduct regular food safety inspections and internal audits.
- Identify potential food safety risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor food handling, storage, preparation, cooking, and serving procedures.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained across all departments.
- Conduct food safety and hygiene training for employees.
- Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, and non-conformities and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate food safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Work closely with management and operational teams to continuously improve food quality and safety standards.
- Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities and support external inspections and audits when required.
Requirements: - Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Professional certification or training in HACCP, Food Safety, ISO standards, or Quality Management Systems is an added advantage.
- Proven experience working in a food safety, quality assurance, or quality control role.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, food handling, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience within the hospitality, restaurant, catering, manufacturing, or food production industry is highly preferred.
- Ability to conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and staff training.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work independently and ensure strict compliance with food safety standards.
