He/she will be responsible for real-time tracking, reporting on operational efficiency, coordinating maintenance schedules, and responding to emergencies. Responsibilities - Vehicle Tracking & Monitoring
- Monitor all fleet vehicles through GPS tracking systems in real time.
- Ensure vehicles are operating within approved routes and schedules.
- Identify any unusual movement, route deviations, delays, or long stoppages.
- Track vehicle movements, speed, route compliance, and stop locations.
- Prepare daily vehicle movement reports (departure time, arrival time, distance covered, stops, idle time).
- Maintain accurate logs for each vehicle and share updates with management.
- Generate weekly and monthly tracking performance reports.
- Record fuel consumption trends and highlight abnormal usage patterns.
- Escalate any vehicle breakdown, accident, delay, or suspicious activity immediately with a service provider.
- Communicate with drivers to confirm vehicle status and location.
- Support the fleet manager with tracking updates and route planning
- Compliance & Safety Monitoring
- Ensure drivers follow company transport and safety policies.
- Report any repeated violations for corrective action.
- Assist in reducing misuse of vehicles and unauthorized trips
- Monitor over speeding, harsh braking, and unsafe driving behavior.
- System Management & Record Keeping
- Maintain updated vehicle details in the tracking system (registration number, driver name, route assigned).
- Ensure all tracking devices are functional and report faults for repair.
- Keep proper documentation of tracking history and incident reports.
Person Specification Education, Training, Skills & Experience - High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or bachelorâs degree in Logistics or IT is often preferred.
- Experience: Usually 2+ years in logistics, fleet management, or related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with GPS tracking software, telematics, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse fleet data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improvements.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for reporting and driver communication. Act as the primary contact for GPS-related issues and communicate with drivers regarding route adjustments.
- Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on TukTuk/vehicle movement, and utilization.
