Duties and Responsibilities 2. Qualifications Essential: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification in CPA or ACCA or CIMA. Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Membership in a recognized professional accounting body (e.g., ICPAU, ACCA, CIMA).
- Must be a Ugandan citizen
3. Experience Essential: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role.
- Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in using financial systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP.
- Financial Reporting & Management Accounts â— Financial Transactions & Compliance
â— Audit & Annual Financial Statements
â— Budgeting & Financial Planning - Cash Flow & Treasury Management â— Tax Management and Compliance â— Other assigned duties Knowledge of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and financial risk management. Preferred
- Experience working in a multinational or regional company.
- Familiarity with fleet management financial systems like FleetWave.
- Prior experience in the logistics or leasing industry.
4. Skills / Knowledge - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Excellent understanding of IFRS and GAAP financial principles.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in process automation and system optimization.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Knowledge of Uganda’s financial regulatory environment.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
