We are a clean energy social enterprise registered in Uganda, supporting households and communities with clean cooking solutions. To date, we have supported local manufacturing companies to produce and sell improved cookstoves to hundreds of thousands of households across Uganda. Our program is aligned with the UN’s Social Development Goals, supporting environmental and social economic improvements by 2030.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance and Administration Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in financial management, accounting, and administrative functions. This role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of financial transactions, record-keeping, and office administration to support the overall operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounting:
● Maintain accurate financial records and process transactions, payments, and reconciliations.
● Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
● Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments.
● Support payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance with financial regulations.
● Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial data and documentation.
Administration &Operations:
● Oversee general office administration, including procurement, vendor management, and office supplies inventory.
● Maintain and organize company records, contracts, and other documentation.
● Assist in HR-related tasks, such as onboarding new employees, maintaining personnel records, and coordinating staff benefits.
● Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and office logistics.
● Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting
● Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance and administration.
● Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and accounting practices.
● Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
● Knowledge of tax regulations, payroll processing, and financial compliance.
● Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
● Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
● Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
● Strong command of written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Knowledge of local financial and tax regulations.
● Prior experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation:
● Competitive salary ranges from 1.5M-1.8M depending on experience.
