The role also involves implementing marketing activities in accordance with the Bankâs approved business strategy to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and overall portfolio performance. Key Accountabilities - Identify and develop business opportunities with microfinance clients to grow the Retail Banking portfolio in line with annual business targets.
- Participate in the implementation of marketing initiatives, customer service activities, public relations campaigns, product development, and monitoring plans for new and existing products and services, ensuring alignment with the Bankâs approved strategy.
Key Responsibilities Portfolio Management - Manage and strengthen existing relationships within the MFI portfolio to ensure customer retention and business growth.
- Recruit, visit, and monitor microfinance customers across different regions of the country to ensure loan proceeds are utilized for their intended purposes.
- Monitor the MFI loan pipeline on a weekly basis to ensure targeted deals and loans are processed and disbursed in a timely manner.
Stakeholder Engagement - Liaise with clients, government institutions, and other financial institutions to ensure the Bankâs interests are effectively represented and protected.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Product Development and Support - Support the design, review, and monitoring of MFI products to ensure they meet customer needs and align with the Bankâs overall business strategy.
- Assist Branch Account Managers in collecting customer documentation to facilitate credit approvals in compliance with the Bankâs credit policies and procedures.
Marketing and Market Intelligence - Participate in market surveys to identify opportunities for improving the Bankâs brand, product quality, and service delivery.
- Disseminate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders to support the Bankâs business objectives.
- Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis, and provide accurate information to support informed decision-making.
Credit Monitoring and Recovery - Recommend and initiate appropriate actions to ensure delinquent customers regularize their accounts promptly.
- Submit weekly delinquency reports and implement effective recovery strategies to improve portfolio quality.
- Ensure compliance with credit risk management practices and maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
Reporting and Compliance - Prepare and submit detailed field visit reports highlighting activities undertaken and issues discussed.
- Safeguard the Bankâs interests by preventing illegal transactions and refraining from providing unauthorized services.
- Contribute to deposit mobilization initiatives and support the growth of the Bankâs liabilities portfolio.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager, Retail Business from time to time.
Education Requirements Bachelorâs degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, or any other related field. Experience - Demonstrated merit, competence, and ability, as evidenced by strong work performance and results.
