The company specializes in sourcing, processing, packaging, and exporting fresh Ugandan fruits to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is dedicated to international food safety standards and efficient post-harvest handling. Role Overview & Scope The Facility Cleaner will maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards across all produce sorting, packing, and warehouse facilities. This role ensures processing areas and storage equipment meet regional and international sanitary regulations for exported fruits. Key Responsibilities - Clean, sweep, and sanitize fruit sorting tables, processing lines, and packing stations daily.
- Wash, disinfect, and store reusable harvest crates and storage containers.
- Maintain cleanliness in warehouse floors, restrooms, break areas, and surrounding facility grounds.
- Safely handle, dilute, and store cleaning detergents and sanitation chemicals according to hygiene guidelines.
- Promptly dispose of organic waste, discarded fruit, and packaging refuse to prevent pest infestation.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications - Education: Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) or Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in industrial cleaning, food facility sanitation, or agricultural warehouse maintenance is an advantage.
- Attributes: High physical stamina, attention to hygiene detail, self-discipline, and strong team cooperation skills.
