The role oversees facilities operations, outsourced and in-house service teams, budgets, compliance, and continuous service improvement in line with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Facilities & Operations Management - Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operations of all facilities and support services on a 24-hour basis.
- Ensure optimal functionality, cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic standards across all premises.
- Supervise facility maintenance, utilities, renovations, and minor construction works, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate asset registers and ensure proper use and care of facilities and equipment.
Service Management - Oversee housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, catering, security, waste management, and grounds services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal teams and external service providers.
- Ensure consistent service delivery, quality control, and customer satisfaction.
People & Performance Management - Lead recruitment, induction, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance appraisal of facilities and services staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Identify skills gaps and coordinate capacity-building initiatives.
Financial & Resource Management - Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and value for money.
- Monitor expenditure, analyze variances, and prepare operational and financial reports.
- Support procurement processes and vendor evaluation in line with institutional policies.
Compliance, Health & Safety - Ensure full compliance with all statutory, regulatory, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Implement and monitor occupational health and safety policies, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness plans.
- Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action implementation.
Planning, Reporting & Continuous Improvement - Prepare and submit timely monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reports.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
- Drive process improvements, sustainability initiatives, and adoption of best practices.
Qualifications & Experience - Bachelorâs degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- A Masterâs degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 yearsâ relevant experience in facilities and services management within a large organization.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and outsourced service providers.

- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Sound knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
