The World Food Programme’s 2026–2030 Uganda Country Strategic Plan aligns with Uganda’s Vision 2040 and focuses on ending hunger and strengthening partnerships. Centred on three integrated outcomes – crisis response, resilience building, and systems strengthening – WFP prioritizes targeted support for the most vulnerable while empowering communities to foster self-reliance. With Uganda hosting Africa’s largest refugee population and facing recurring disasters, WFP works closely with the Government and partners to ensure access to nutritious food, promote school feeding, and enhance national social protection capacities for longterm, sustainable food systems.

The WFP Uganda Country Office seeks to identify competent contractors for architectural design, engineering design, civil, construction works and solar installation and maintenance. The companies identified through this EOI process will be added to the WFP database/roster/shortlist for invitation to participate in soon to be launched and future engineering and construction tenders.

The WFP Uganda Country Office, from time to time, engages in engineering and construction activities to meet programme and logistical needs. WFP also maintains several premises, leased, and owned, within Uganda that require constant maintenance not limited to building and building services (mechanical and electrical) works to keep them in usable condition all year round.

This request for EOI does not constitute a solicitation. WFP reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Submitting a reply to an EOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation documents when issued.
