The Entrepreneurship and Resilience Officer will support entrepreneurship, SME growth, and livelihood initiatives for vulnerable youth, women, refugees, and host communities, while promoting inclusive and sustainable business practices in West Nile. You will also oversee partnerships, grants, and technical support to enhance economic resilience and create green and decent jobs. Your Tasks - Support entrepreneurship and Small Medium Enterprises (SME) development by leading and monitoring initiatives that help vulnerable youth, women, refugees, and host communities develop sustainable micro and small businesses and access business development services.
- Manage partnerships, grants, and business support services by overseeing grant implementation, coordinating with implementing partners and financial institutions, and supporting SMEs with tailored business advisory and growth support.
- Provide technical support and promote inclusive business practices by delivering technical guidance on entrepreneurship, access to finance, green economy approaches, decent work, and resilience-building interventions.
- Strengthen monitoring, learning, and stakeholder engagement by ensuring quality reporting, document lessons learned and success stories, support capacity building of partners, and contribute to knowledge sharing and project learning.
Person Specifications: - Masterâs degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field
- Minimum 5 yearsâ relevant experience in entrepreneurship promotion, business development, SME growth, and livelihoods programming
- Strong knowledge of entrepreneurship development, access to finance, financial inclusion, value chain development, and inclusive business approaches
- Proven experience working with vulnerable youth, women, refugees, host communities, and private sector actors.
- Good understanding of agribusiness, agricultural aggregation, circular economy, and sustainable business models; experience in green economy initiatives is an added advantage.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical, planning, reporting, and partnership management skills, with the ability to work independently and in multicultural environments.
