Job Summary:  The Enterprise BI Analyst plays a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The analyst will design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions, dashboards, and data visualizations that empower business users to understand key performance indicators and identify trends. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, expertise in data modelling and visualization tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Gather and analyse data from various sources, including databases, data warehouses, and cloud platforms.
• Design and develop reports, dashboards, and scorecards that provide meaningful insights into business performance.
• Use visualization tools to present data in an easily understandable format.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.

Data Modelling and ETL:

• Develop and maintain data models that accurately reflect the organization’s data structures.
• Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to move data from source systems to data warehouses or data lakes.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the ETL process.

Business Intelligence Solutions:

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their business intelligence needs.
• Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement new business intelligence solutions.
• Train and support users on how to use business intelligence tools and reports.

Data Governance and Security:

• Adhere to data governance and security policies to protect sensitive information.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Maintain data dictionaries and other documentation related to data management.

Data Analysis and Visualization:

• Gather, analyse, and interpret complex datasets from various sources.
• Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Utilize data visualization techniques to present findings clearly and effectively.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to answer specific business questions.

Reporting and Communication:

• Create and deliver reports that summarize key insights and trends.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements.

Data Quality and Management:

• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Implement data validation and cleansing processes.
• Maintain data dictionaries and documentation.

Business Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization through data analysis.
• Develop and implement data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Technology and Tools:

• Stay up to date with the latest BI technologies and tools.
• Research and evaluate new tools and techniques to enhance data analysis capabilities.
• Provide technical support and training to users on BI tools and platforms.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analysis.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and techniques.
• Expertise in SQL and other data querying languages.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, SSIS).
• Strong Knowledge of python language
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.

• Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptability to changing business requirements.
• Proven track record of delivering actionable insights and driving business decisions.
• Strong proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data analysis languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).

Additional considerations:

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of data science and machine learning techniques is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
