The Enrolled Midwife will provide quality maternal and newborn care, supporting women throughout pregnancy, labour, delivery, and the postnatal period. Key Responsibilities - Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
- Monitor mothers and newborns and identify potential complications.
- Assist with safe deliveries and manage routine maternity procedures.
- Provide immediate newborn care and support breastfeeding.
- Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate maternity records.
- Provide health education on pregnancy, childbirth, family planning, and newborn care.
- Assist in emergency obstetric and neonatal care and facilitate referrals when necessary.
- Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
- Support mothers and families with compassionate and respectful care.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications & Requirements - Certificate/Diploma in Midwifery from a recognized institution.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must be registered with the relevant professional council and hold a valid practising licence.
- Good knowledge of maternal and newborn care.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
 - Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Must be registered with the relevant professional councils.
