Background

Tembo Steels, Lugazi, a leading steel manufacturing company, is seeking a competent and experienced Electrician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment within our plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and control panels in the steel manufacturing plant.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and manuals.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and statutory regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with mechanical and production teams to support uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in industrial or manufacturing environments (steel industry experience preferred).
• Proficiency with industrial electrical systems, motors, PLCs, and control panels.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
