JOB DETAILS: Abaana Ministries, a Christian NGO supporting vulnerable children, is recruiting for one position. Purpose To provide department leadership to ensure sponsor- ship activities are efficiently coordinated and partner schools are supported to bring about high-quality education. Kira, Wakiso, with regular short-term travel upcountry Qualifications and skills • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in education. Additional qualifications in Social Work, Development Studies, or Project Planning & Management (Degree or Postgraduate) are required. • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and online communi- cation. Experience • At least five years in education (as an educator). At least three years of staff supervisory experience. • At least three years experience in managing projects or child sponsorship, preferably in a Christian non-governmental organisation (NGO). At least three years of driving (manual and auto- matic preferred) with a clean driving permit. Key Duties • Supporting 16 partner schools by: • improving standards of holistic education and • promoting spiritual Christian activities • teacher training and capacity building • supporting construction projects • helping them manage and build their school finances • building relationships with Ministry of Education and District Education Officers • Supporting children being sponsored by manag- ing a team of 5 people who: • ensure that all sponsorship activities in schools (recruitment, letter writing, distribution of gifts, etc.) are carried out effectively and efficiently. monitor the progress of sponsored children both in Abaana-supported Primary Schools and partner Secondary Schools • These duties will be carried out alongside managerial responsibilities related to leading a team, managing a workplan and budget, and required reporting. Work Hours: 8
