Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Officer – Export to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless and timely export of our products, primarily coffee, to international clients. The successful candidate will coordinate all export activities, working closely with various internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Regular travel to our Agri Evolve site in Nyabirongo, Kasese District, will be required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Export Coordination
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of export activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to clients.
- Liaise with internal teams (production, quality control, etc.) to ensure export readiness.
- Track and monitor export shipments, providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure all export documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Liaise with inspection and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary certifications and approvals.
Shipping and Logistics:
- Coordinate with shipping companies to secure container availability and manage container movements.
- Monitor and track shipments, resolving any logistical issues that may arise.
Client Communication:
- Maintain clear and professional communication with international clients, providing updates on shipment status and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Manage client expectations and resolve any issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide internal stakeholders with timely and accurate updates.
- Work with multiple teams to achieve goals.
- Problem Solving:
- Proactively identify and address potential export challenges, implementing effective solutions.
Travel:
- Regularly travel to the Agri Evolve site in Nyabirongo, Kasese District, to coordinate with the team on the ground.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Procurement, Supply Chain, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline).
- 1-2 years of work experience in a logistics environment (preferred).
- Experience communicating with clients, both written and verbal (experience with international clients is highly desirable).

Salary: 3,000,000 UGX gross (negotiable up to 4,000,000 UGX gross for exceptional candidates)
