ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Safely transport staff, clients, and goods to designated destinations on schedule.
- Ensure company vehicles are well-maintained, serviced, and always fueled.
- Plan and follow safe, efficient routes using navigation tools where necessary.
- Keep vehicles clean, tidy, and in roadworthy condition at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance.
- Handle goods and customer payments responsibly, ensuring proper accountability.
- Promptly report any vehicle faults, accidents, or incidents.
- Assist with loading and offloading goods as required.
- Provide courteous and professional service to clients and the public.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - Minimum of Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE).
- Valid and clean driving license for the appropriate vehicle class (B, C1, or C).
- At least three (3) years of proven driving experience in a reputable organization.
- Defensive driving training or certification is an added advantage.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to identify common vehicle problems.
- Experience operating both vehicles and motorcycles is desirable.
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES - Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic regulations.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- High sense of responsibility, honesty, and reliability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Record-keeping and accountability skills.
