Job Description/Requirements Job Purpose We are seeking a reliable and skilled division manager to join our team, responsible for planning, drawing schedules, coordinating field operations, tea planting, field maintenance, plucking in line with the company standards, manage personnel’s performance, development, and welfare in the division. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of safety. Company background Uganda Tea Corporation has been a leading tea producer and exporter in Uganda for the last 20 years. It has three estates with its headquarters at Kasaku near Lugazi. Kasaku is about 48kmfrom Kampala and 40km from Jinja.
Job Identification - Â Duty station: Kasaku, Salama, Luwala Estates
- Job type: Full-Time Job
- Â Reporting to: Estate Manager
Job specification - Plan, draw schedules, and coordinate field operations in line with quality standard requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee tea planting, field maintenance and plucking in line with the company standards and plans.
- Â Manage personnel, their performance, development, and welfare in the division in line with HR policies, Labour Union terms and conditions.
- Maintain, account, safeguard and monitor the utilization of the company’s assests and manage inventory/store.
- Implement and monitor the standards (both international and company standards) of production at the estates.
- Supervise the weighing and recording green leaf at the estate.
- Prepare and report on the division’s annual plans and budgets in line with the field department plan.
- Prepare and submit reports on the state of the division.
Candidate specification Educational requirements: Diploma in crop husbandary Work experience: 1-2 years.
Required skills Strong communication skills, ability to work independently as part of a team, should have a fair command of the English language, interpersonal skills, public relations skills, leadership skills.
