Our Client, an International NGO, that is an independent child rights and humanitarian organisation in Uganda wishes to recruit a Director of Programme Implementation, Humanitarian Preparedness & Response.
Responsibilities or duties
The Director of Programme Implementation, Humanitarian Preparedness & Response leads the implementation of the country strategy including the Emergency Response Plan, providing leadership for the organizationâs entire portfolio of projects nationwide, co-lead post-award partnership management across both development and humanitarian programmes, lead the organizationâs Youth engagement, communications and advocacy work ensuring that children particularly girls and young people are at the heart of the work of the organisation. This role will further be responsible for provision of oversight over sponsorship in close collaboration with the Country Director. The role also provides strategic direction for humanitarian preparedness and response in addition to resource mobilisation. 5/6 will work closely with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) at national and field level.
Qualifications or requirements
A masterâs degree, preferably in development, from a recognised university
Experience needed
At least 15 years of experience with 10 years in senior management positions (including international) in managing development and humanitarian programmes with large and complex budget in large international organisations of similar complexity and scope to the organization.
- Leads the implementation of the country strategy including the Emergency Response Plan.
- Provides leadership for the organizationâs entire portfolio of projects nationwide.
