DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 1 Position | 2-Year Renewable Contract Job Summary The Deputy Executive Director will support the Executive Director in providing strategic leadership, programme oversight, organisational development, and effective implementation of ACODEP's programmes and initiatives. Key Responsibilities - Support the Executive Director in strategic planning and organisational leadership.
- Oversee implementation of programmes and organisational priorities.
- Coordinate senior management and ensure effective collaboration across departments.
- Monitor programme performance, outputs, and organisational targets.
- Support resource mobilisation, donor engagement, and partnership development.
- Represent ACODEP in meetings, networks, forums, and stakeholder engagements.
- Strengthen relationships with government agencies, development partners, communities, and civil society organisations.
- Promote gender equality, environmental protection, human rights, and inclusive programming.
- Support organisational policy development and compliance.
- Provide guidance to programme and technical teams.
- Monitor organisational risks and support appropriate mitigation.
- Contribute to preparation of reports, proposals, budgets, and strategic documents.
- Promote accountability, transparency, and effective use of organisational resources.
Ideal Candidate - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Public Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Significant experience in NGO/programme management and organisational leadership.
- Strong knowledge of development programming and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and strategic-planning skills.
- Experience working with donors and development partners is an advantage.
