About the Company:
Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament that is responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda. It replaced the Kampala City Council.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Â Â The incumbent will be responsible to the Deputy Executive Director for performing the following duties:-
- Developing and monitoring implementation of projects under KCCA in line with the Authority’s mandate and strategic objectives;
- Developing project proposals and solicit funding in line with KCCA’s mandate and strategic objectives;
- Designing and monitoring implementation of procedures and tools for project execution and management in line with the project requirement;
- Defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with KCCA’s Senior Management and applicable stakeholders;
- Reviewing project progress reports and making recommendations to Management in line with the project implementation plan;
- Monitoring implementation of the approved projects and reporting on progress to KCCA’s Management in line with the project implementation service level agreements;
- Developing and controlling the budget for projects in line with KCCA financial guidelines and donor requirements;
- Providing technical guidance to KCCA staff and Management on all matters pertaining to projects;
- Managing performance of staff under his/her direct supervision in accordance with the Performance Management guidelines
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Minimum Qualification
- Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce; or Business Administration; or Urban Planning; or Business Statistics; or Economics or any other related field plus a Masters Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University/ Institution.
- Applicants should also hold a minimum of a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from a recognized University/ Institution and specialized training in Project Planning and Implementation.
Working Experience
- Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years of working experience in Project Design and Management, three (3) of which must have been served at Assistant Commissioner of Head of Department level in Government or equivalent level from a reputable organization
