They will also initiate and formulate District administration Plans, strategies, and ordinances and by-laws in liaison with other Heads of Department. Supervising and coordinating human resource management in the District, supervising the utilization and accountability of all resources of the Administration Department, providing administrative support and guidance to the technical Departments and Units, coordinating safe custody and proper management of Council records, properties, and assets, coordinating the development of work plans, budgets, and performance reports of the Administrative Department, supervising and appraising staff, and any other duties that may be assigned from time to time. Responsibilities or duties: - Providing administrative support services to the District Council and the technical Departments
- Initiating and formulating District administration Plans, strategies, and ordinances and by-laws in liaison with other Heads of Department
- Supervising and coordinating human resource management in the District
- Supervising the utilization and accountability of all resources of the Administration Department
- Providing administrative support and guidance to the technical Departments and Units
- Coordinating safe custody and proper management of Council records, properties, and assets
- Coordinating the development of work plans, budgets, and performance reports of the Administrative Department
- Supervising and appraising staff
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications or requirements: - Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelorâs Degree in Arts; or Social Sciences; or Development Studies; or Public Administration; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Law; or Commerce (Management option); or Business Administration (Management option); or Management Science plus a Masterâs Degree in Public Administration; or Public Sector Management; or Management Studies; or Public Policy Management; or Development Studies; or Business Administration from a recognized University/Institution. Applicants should possess a Certificate in Administrative Law from a recognized Institution
Experience needed: Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at the level of Principal Assistant Secretary in Government Any other provided details: The incumbent will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and perform various administrative duties as assigned. - Providing administrative support services to the District Council and the technical Departments
