Job Description/Requirements DETAILS Department/ Unit : SMart Havens Africa Head office Job summary: The Credit officer is responsible for mobilizing, appraising, disbursement and recovery of loans within their portfolio in line with the credit policies, procedures and set targets. Key responsibilities: Building Client Relationships - Mobilizing and sensitizing customers about company products including Sales in line with set targets
- Enrol new clients for a homeownership plan
Appraisal and Monitoring - Conducting home loan appraisal exercises in line with lending policy of the Compan
- Preparing documentation and presenting loan project proposals to the loan committee for decision-making and giving feed back to applicants in line with the lending policy and procedures of the Company
- Preparing approved loans for signature according to the terms and conditions spelt out in the lending policies/procedures
- Evaluating loan performance in line with disbursement terms and conditions
- Carryout snap customer relationship engagement activities in line with the Operations Manual
Loan Recovery ● Initiating recovery actions for loans in default including written of loans in line with loan policy guidelines and procedures Occasional duties: - Taking minutes during meetings
- Making monthly returns and Filing
- Offer customer service to the Company’s clients during field activities
Assets and financial matters responsibility: - Motorvehicle
- Camera
- Fuel Cards
Judgement and Decision-making ● None Advice / Recommendations provided: - Recommend for consumables e.g requisition of fuel and maintenance of motorcycle/vehicle equipment
- Recommendation for different home loans after identifying potential
Educational Requirements: - Degree in Finance,Microfinance, Accounting and any Business related degree
Related Job Experience: - At least two years in similar or related role

- Explain to clients on the procedure for home loan acquisition
