JOB TITLE: Crane Operator

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and daily maintenance of the crane under the supervision of the lifting supervisor, as well as the placement and management of materials at the well site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be familiar with and apply the core values, policies and procedures of the Company.
• To be part of the installation’s Emergency Response Team.
• To attend all Safety, Pre-Tour and Pre-Job meetings on tour and off tour as required.
• To undertake all training which is provided by the Company and to fulfil competency assessments as required.
• Report directly and provide support to lifting supervisor in daily management as well as drilling rig material movement and remote management.
• Perform safe and efficient crane operations as directed by rig management.
• Monitor the status and certification of lifting equipment and participate in all crane and cargo handling activities.
• Perform daily inspections of the crane to ensure that it is in safe working condition.
• Monitor load conditions of cargo transport to ensure all loads are within the design limits of the crane.
• Monitor compliance with cargo manifest and report discrepancies to the Lifting Supervisor for investigation.
• Monitor rigging and lifting practices of the Rig crew to ensure safety policies of the Company are adhered to at all times.
• Participate fully in pre-shift meetings and tool box talks.
• Emergencies must be reported to the Lifting Supervisor.
• Maintain proper housekeeping of crane and surrounding well pad areas.
• Prepare work safety analysis (JSA) for all lifting work.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or above is preferred
• Crane operator license
• At least 2 years crane operation experience.
• 3 years oilfield experience
