• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure consistent taste, portion sizes, and visual presentation across all meals.
• Manage food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and pre-cooking ingredients (mise en place).
• Monitor and maintain proper food storage, rotation, and temperature controls to prevent spoilage.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager on menu planning, daily specials, and seasonal changes.
• Enforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in the kitchen (HACCP compliance).
• Oversee kitchen inventory, place orders for supplies, and minimize food waste.
• Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, including kitchen assistants and commis chefs.
• Respond to special dietary requirements, allergies, and customer preferences with flexibility.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and cooking utensils.
