This role will be pivotal in enhancing Spiroâs brand visibility, fostering stakeholder relationships, and promoting our mission of sustainable mobility. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller with a deep understanding of the East African media landscape, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for sustainability and innovation. Key Responsibilities - Brand Storytelling: Develop and execute PR campaigns that highlight Spiroâs impact in electric mobility, drafting press releases, opinion pieces, and media pitches tailored to East African audiences.
- Content Creation: Produce engaging content for various platforms, including newsletters, social media, blogs, and the company website, ensuring alignment with Spiroâs brand voice and mission.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, government officials, industry partners, and community leaders to amplify Spiroâs presence and influence in the region.
- Market Insights: Monitor media trends, competitor activities, and public sentiment in East Africa to inform communication strategies and ensure Spiro remains a thought leader in the mobility sector.
- Campaign Evaluation: Track and analyze the performance of PR and communication initiatives, leveraging data to refine strategies and demonstrate impact.
Qualifications - Bachelorâs degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in PR, communications, or a related role, preferably in East Africa.
- Proven track record of managing successful media campaigns and building relationships with regional media outlets.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Swahili or other regional languages is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with the East African cultural, political, and media landscape.
- Experience in sustainability, technology, or mobility sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in digital tools, including social media platforms, content management systems, and analytics software.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
