Scope of Work and Key Deliverables The consultant will support the development and execution of communications activities aligned with Girls Not Bridesâ strategic objectives in Africa. Key deliverables will include: - Develop and implement a short-term communications plan to support regional and
national advocacy priorities. - Create compelling digital content (e.g. stories, social media posts, short videos, blog
articles) showcasing the impact of Girls Not Brides member organisations across Africa. - Support media engagement efforts, including drafting press releases, pitching stories,
and identifying media opportunities to highlight key issues and events. - Develop communication materials and messaging aligned with regional advocacy
campaigns and events. - Monitor and analyse media coverage and digital engagement related to child marriage in
the region. - Support strategic storytelling that centers the voices and experiences of girls and
grassroots partners. - Provide technical input to the Africa Team on communication activities for key national
and regional initiatives. Required Qualifications & Experience We are looking for a consultant who brings: - Proven experience in communications, journalism, or advocacy, ideally in the field of
international development, human rights, or gender equality. - Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for
different audiences and channels. - Demonstrated experience in digital content creation and social media strategy,
particularly in African contexts. - Experience engaging with media and knowledge of the African media landscape.
- Familiarity with gender and social impact movements, and a commitment to feminist
principles. - Ability to work independently, deliver high-quality outputs on tight timelines, and
collaborate effectively with diverse teams. - Fluency in English is required; French is an asset.
