Job Summary: Â Â The position holder is to develop. implement and manage communication and public relations strategies that align with the organization’s goals. This includes internal and external communications. media relations. crisis communication. brand messaging. and content creation to promote a positive image
of the organization
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication Strategies that support the organization’s objectives. ensuring dear and consistent messaging across al platforms.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets and journalists, handle media inquiries and pitch stories that highlight the organization’s work, achievements and initiatives.
- Ensure the consistent portray a of the organizations brand, voice and values in all communications and promotional materials
- Write, edit and manage content for press releases, newsletters, websites, blogs, social media speeches and presentations
- Develop and manage social media Strategies. creating engaging content to enhance the organization’s presence across platforms, monitor online sentiment and respond to comments or inquiries.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies. community leaders. and industry influences and represent the organization at pubic events, conferences, and forums.
- Coordinate events such as press conferences, sallies, webinars. product launches. and other pubic-facing events. ensuring seamless execution and media coverage.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans inducing rapid response
- Strategies and messaging to protect the organization’s reputation during challenging situations.
- Facilitate effective communication within the organization, ensuring employees are well-informed and aligned with organizational goals and culture.
- Track the success of communication and PR campaigns through metrics (media coverage. social media engagement  audience reach) and provide regular reports to management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications. Public Relations. Journalism. Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, media relations, or a related field with a proven track record of successful campaigns.
Other skills and personal attributes:
- Excellent writing, eating. and proofreading skis
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in social media platforms.
- PR tools, and analytic & Crisis management and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of digital marketing. and content Strategy.
