We are seeking a Collections Supervisor to strengthen our collections function, drive recoveries, and support the achievement of our portfolio quality targets. Role Purpose The Collections Supervisor will oversee branch-level and field collections, monitor arrears performance, coach collections staff, and implement effective recovery strategies. The role requires strong field leadership, analytical discipline, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely repayments, maintain portfolio quality, and minimise credit losses. Key Responsibilities ⢠Supervise and coach Collections Officers to deliver targeted recoveries on: ⢠Non-Performing Accounts (NPAs) ⢠Collections of written-off accounts ⢠Achieve acceptable portfolio quality targets of: ⢠Monitor and report o performance and ensure strict adherence to collection policies. ⢠Ensure deliquency escalation policy compliance across all recovery actions. ⢠Foreclose securities where necessary in line with company policies and legal requirements. ⢠Enforce repayment plans and ensure strict client adherence. ⢠Work closely with Product Heads, Regional Managers, and Branch Managers to align recovery strategies with product performance and regional portfolio dynamics. ⢠Liaise with legal, compliance, and credit administration teams on escalated or complex cases. ⢠Conduct regular portfolio reviews and recommend corrective action plans to management. ⢠Promote a culture of discipline, accountability, and results within the collections function. Qualifications & Experience ⢠Bachelorâs degree in Business, Finance, or related field. ⢠Minimum 3 yearsâ experience in collections or credit management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role (experience in microfinance or SACCO will be an added advantage). ⢠Strong knowledge of microfinance/retail banking collections and recovery practices. ⢠Demonstrated ability to achieve strict Portfolio at risk targets and recovery targets, including written-off accounts. ⢠Excellent leadership, coaching, and team performance management skills. ⢠Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
