Key Responsibilities COâ Plant Operations - Operate COâ recovery plant including scrubber, compressor, dryer, liquefaction unit, storage tanks, and bottling/dispatch system.
- Monitor COâ generation from fermentation and ensure maximum recovery efficiency.
- Control operating parameters such as pressure, temperature, flow rate, and purity levels.
- Start-up, shutdown, and changeover of COâ plant equipment as per SOPs.
Quality Control - Ensure COâ purity meets required specifications for food-grade / industrial-grade COâ.
- Conduct routine checks for moisture, oil content, odor, and non-condensable gases.
- Coordinate with QC/QA team for sampling and testing.
Equipment & Maintenance Support - Perform routine inspections of compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, dryers, and valves.
- Identify abnormalities, leakages, vibrations, or inefficiencies and report promptly.
- Support maintenance team during preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Maintain proper lubrication and housekeeping of COâ plant area.
Safety & Compliance - Strictly follow safety procedures related to high-pressure gases and cryogenic systems.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of liquid COâ cylinders/tanks.
- Use PPE and comply with HSE policies, statutory norms, and plant safety rules.
- Participate in safety drills, audits, and risk assessments.
Documentation & Reporting - Maintain daily production logs, operating parameters, and shift reports.
- Record COâ recovery quantities, losses, downtime, and energy consumption.
- Assist in preparing reports for management review.
Coordination - Coordinate with Fermentation, Distillation, Utilities, and Maintenance teams.
- Support COâ dispatch/loading activities as per schedule.
Educational Qualification - Diploma / B.Sc. (Chemistry) / Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (preferred)
Experience - 8â12 years of hands-on experience in COâ plant operations
- Prior experience in grain-based distillery / sugar / ethanol / brewery plants preferred
- Operate COâ recovery plant including scrubber, compressor, dryer, liquefaction unit, storage tanks, and bottling/dispatch system.
