Clinical Instructor – Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery Programs job at Luziibangi International Health School (LIHS)

Luziibangi International Health School invites applications from qualified, motivated and self-driven professionals for the position of Clinical Instructor. Reporting to the Principal, the Clinical Instructor will provide effective instruction, supervision and assessment of Certificate in Nursing and Certificate in Midwifery students in the classroom, skills laboratory, hospital and community placement sites, while nurturing a supportive learning environment in which students grow both intellectually and professionally.

• Plan, coordinate and supervise clinical placements, including liaising with hospitals and community sites and orienting students to schedules, expectations and evaluation methods.
• Teach and demonstrate clinical skills in the skills laboratory and at clinical sites in line with curricula.
• Assess student competence; identify strengths and weaknesses and complete mid- and end-of-rotation evaluations and clinical logbooks.
• Monitor student progress, provide mentorship, and serve as a professional role model.
• Work with academic staff to develop and update clinical objectives, competencies and assessment tools.
• Maintain student confidentiality and promptly report concerns regarding student progress or welfare.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Principal.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and organizational skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Computer literacy and ability to integrate technology into teaching.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Midwifery from a recognized institution.
• Registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council, with a valid practicing license.
• At least three (3) years of clinical experience; clinical teaching experience is an added advantage.
