The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a high level of discretion in a luxury hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, access control devices, and related security infrastructure.
- Monitor CCTV feeds in real-time and record incidents or unusual activities in accordance with hotel policies.
- Perform regular checks, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on surveillance equipment.
- Ensure all surveillance footage is securely stored and backed up for designated periods.
- Respond promptly to equipment failures and coordinate repairs or replacements.
- Work closely with the Security and IT teams to ensure integrated system performance.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle all data and footage with discretion and professionalism.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on surveillance activity and equipment status.
- Assist with investigations and footage retrieval when incidents occur.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and hotel policies regarding surveillance and data protection.
Qualifications and Experience: - Diploma or Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with CCTV systems, preferably in a hospitality or commercial setting.
- Knowledge of IP-based camera systems, DVRs/NVRs, access control, and alarm systems.
- Strong understanding of network and cabling systems related to surveillance.
- Familiarity with Ugandan laws regarding surveillance and data privacy is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and integrity.
