Specific Skills - Strong computer literacy and experience with point-of-sale systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English and Luganda, an additional language is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Cashier experience preferred.
Responsible For 1.Order Processing: - Greet customers and assist them with locating their orders in the system.
- Verify order details on the screen, including products, quantities, prices, and delivery options.
- Confirm order accuracy and proceed with payment processing.
- Electronically tag orders for fulfilment by the inventory team.
- Communicate estimated delivery times to customers.
2.Payment Processing: - Be familiar with all accepted payment methods (debit cards, mobile money, cash, cheques).
- Guide customers through cashless payment processes (cards, mobile money) and ensure compliance to SOPs and regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and securely, following cash control procedures.
- Process credit sales where payment is received on delivery.
- Tag payments and issue receipts for all transactions.
3.Customer Service: - Maintain a positive and professional demeanour with customers.
- Actively listen to customer inquiries and address them promptly and accurately.
- Handle customer concerns empathetically and strive to find solutions.
- Provide clear information about orders, delivery timelines, and payment methods.
- Maintain assigned cash registers in a clean and orderly conditions.
- Reconcile daily mobile money transactions.
- Perform end-of-day procedures, including reviewing reports and submitting cash to the administrator.
- Participate in training sessions to update product knowledge, payment procedures, and company policies.
- Share best practices and contribute to a positive team culture.
Educational Requirements - Minimum of bachelorâs degree in accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, Business Computing or related field.
- One to two (1-2) years of relevant working experience as a Cashier or teller
