Responsibilities: - Conducts inspections of wagons and coaches at CXR repair centers and marshalling yards.
- Performs scheduled maintenance, unscheduled repairs, and tests carriage & wagons to established set of standards at CXR repair centers.
- Ensures that trains are prepared & adheres to performance and quality standards.
Qualifications/Requirements: - At least Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent and Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Skills in Computer applications particularly; Microsoft Access, Excel, Word Processing and PowerPoint.
- Capable of working under pressure.
- Ability to work with people of diverse cultural/ethnic background, gender, and beliefs.

- Performs scheduled maintenance, unscheduled repairs, and tests carriage & wagons to established set of standards at CXR repair centers.
