The Inclusive Markets for Energy Efficiency in Uganda (IMEU-II) Call for Expressions of Interest (EoI) from eligible Agro-processors, Commercial Buildings, and Social Institutions seeking to invest in energy efficient solutions. Call for Catalytic Grants Proposals About The SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is pleased to announce a call for expression of interest for eligible agro-processors, small and medium enterprises and social institutions to apply for a catalytic grant under the IMEU-Market Development Fund Facility. This is a co-investment mechanism aimed at incentivising eligible commercial and institutional users of energy to invest in energy efficient technologies and services. The Inclusive Markets for Energy Efficiency in Uganda phase II project is a three (3) year (2025-2028) project funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Uganda. This is a consortium-implemented project led by SNV in partnership with Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) and Makerere University, College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT) in collaboration with Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development. Eligibility criteria -
Legal status: Must be a legally registered business with a minimum of two years of continuous operations. -
Technology focus: Energy efficient solutions for cooking, cooling, pumping, milling, or lighting etc. -
Co-investment: Willingness to provide matching funds (up to 50%) for the proposed energy-efficient investment. -
Location: Operations for all interested applicants must be within the 36 IMEU-II prioritised districts and cities. -
